Crossfire's new versioning approach will be named by year, month.   e.g. Version 12.5 represents the end of May release.

This new version includes a big pile of new features added this year:

New Features/Changes

• • Copying Segment Groups, Segments, Data Elements

  • Handling of deleting nodes with mappings

  • Segment Groups, Segments, Data Element can be dragged up and down, and in and out of other groups

  • Performance improvements between 20% - 900% depending on mapping

  • Optimised memory usage

  • New message standard page, allowing the selection of EDIFACT/X12 standards explicitly.  The message standard page, now selects the appropriate settings automatically for these standards.  These are stored in the Standards repository

  • The following fields are only showing for EDIFACT messages: Send Ack, Test Mode, Application Ref, Association Assigned

  • The scheduler can be configured to automatically delete temporary files created by the .Net runtime

  • End time has been added to Schedules

  • EDIFACT/X12 mappings now support mapping to and from the service segments (message/interchange header)

  • Removing empty elements has some new options (remove empty elements with attributes, without attributes, with empty attributes only)

  • Repeat mapping improved and simplified, you can specify it using the UI.  The repeat map function is no longer used.

  • Event page simplified

  • Partner page simplified

  • "Filter file name" renamed to "Process only files matching"

  • Added log tables to the purging process

  • Improved display speed of the mapping tree

  • Shows the Tag Value for EDIFACT/X12 messages in the tree

  • Time has been added to the date filters in the Work With

  • Date/Time has been added to the Crossfire Notifications

  • Shows the starting position of an element (and new elements) when adding fixed length messages

  • Responsible Agency added to Process

  • Keyboard support for drop downs in Chrome

  • Transports can be copied

  • Added fields for 'CurrentSegmentCounter' and 'CurrentSegmentGroupCounter'.  These can be used so you don't need to make your own counters each time

  • Added 'SegmentRepeatCount' and 'SegmentGroupRepeatCount' variables

  • Copying the code lists, copy the values also

  • Ability to filter codes within the code list

  • Partner contact details are saved

  • Parameters for new functions are automatically checked by default

  • Ability to update code lists if they already exist

  • Now shows the last message date/time for Transports, Transport Routes, and Processes listing in the Work With

  • Excel processing uses a new approach and is separated from other OleDb transports

  • Excel 2007+ files (xlsx) are supported

  • Names are no longer mandatory for code lists

  • Highlighting is added for variables so that you can see which one you're hovering over

  • Transport filter added

  • The following fields have been added (Interchange.Date, Time, Reference, SenderPartnerCode, ReceiverPartnerCode, Message.Type, VersionNo, ReleasNo, Controlling Agency, Association Assigned)

  • Added option to not delete a file when it is picked up from an FTP

  • Added support for FTPs which disconnect immediately after download

  • Deleting Transports/Schedules is now done as a process, after hours.  This prevents the user from waiting when deleting these items.

  • Dashboard improvements, showing active notifications using traffic lights

  • Added import and export support for code lists

  • Added 'Starts With' to logical operators

  • Improved date formatting on non-english servers

  • Passwords are now hidden on the transports page.

  • Status log times are now shown as broken down to Decompile, Process, Compile.

  • Maximum function length removed

  • Added column for viewing number of codes in a code list when listing

  • Added column for viewing the time of the last message processed for a transport or transport route

  • Deletion of schedules happens delayed. The schedules get a status of 'Deleted' when deleted from the UI and a job will do the cleanup of the logs, steps and the schedules daily.

Issues Resolved

• • When a transport is changed, the schedule step is no longer reset in the run order.

  • When a destination map is removed, the transport is also removed.

  • Ampersands can be used in transport names

  • In-line C#/SQL editor supports IE8

  • When you set an email address on the process, then assign a file out transport, it no longer puts the email in as the folder to deliver to.

  • When you import a file for test purpose, it no loger converts “special” characters (like É, è, à, …) to an unreadable format

  • Event page field limited issue resolved.

  • Responsible Agency name updates when the matching partner name is changed
